Notes: Sunday Silence was an American thoroughbr ed racehorse of the North American origin. He was foaled in 1986 and was sired by Halo out of Wishing Well. He was bred by Oak Cliff Thoroughbr eds, Ltd and passed two years at the sales ring before finally sold in California as a two year old in training. He had fourteen long years of racing career and never completed a race with worse than second. At the time of 1989 Triple Crown of Thoroughbr ed Racing, Sunday Silence snatched seven times in nine starts, giving him the 3-year-old championsh ip and the Eclipse Award for Horse of the Year. In 1996, he was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. When he was only four years old, Sunday Silence posted win in the California n derby and second in the Hollywood Gold Cup; in the way he suffered an injured ligament that eventually led to his retirement .
