Bob Baffert is a successful Thoroughbr ed trainer. On 13th January, 1953 he was born to Bill and Ellie. He was the 4th child amongst 7. He spend his childhood days in the family cattle ranch situated close to the Mexico border. At the age of 10 he commenced galloping and grooming Quarter horses. A graduate of the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program, Bob Baffert trained seven national champions - Chilukki, Point Given, Real Quiet, Silverbull etday, Silver Charm, Vindicatio n and War Emblem, collective ly accounting for nine titles. Bob Baffert started his career as a jockey. In 1970, he galloped the winner in Arizona at Flagstaff horse racing event. As a trainer, he triumphed on 28th January, 1979 winning $330. Flipper Start posted a win in Rillito horse racing event purchased Thirty Slews at an auction. Bob Baffert was awarded training titles at Del Mar, Oak Tree and Hollywood Park. In 1991, Bob Baffert won stakes races - 3 in total, at California Cup in Oak Tree. Cal Cup Classic, Cal Cup Juvenile and Cal Cup Sprint were won by Charmonnie r,Ebonair and Letthebigh ossroll simultaneo usly. In 1996 he missed winning the Kentucky Derby. At Emerald Downs, isitingood won Longacres Mile in 1996. He spend $1.5 million on Forestry at summer yearling sale in Keeneland. Trained under the expert hands of Bob Baffert, Forestry clinched the top position in San Pedro Stakes, Dwyer Stakes (G2) and King Bishop Stakes (G1). In 1999, General Challenge won Pacific Classic and Santa Anita Derby. Other major wins include - Santa Anita Handicap (2000) Cigar Mile (2000,2002 ,2003)
