Notes: David Hofmans is a popular thoroughbr ed racehorse trainer of the United States. He was born and brought up in Los Angeles. At his childhood days, he liked to watch horseracin g at his area tracks. In 1974, David posted his first profession al win of his career at Santa Anita Racetrack. In 1996, he gained national prominence as a trainer of Alphabet Soup that defeated the famous Cigar in the Breeders’ Cup Classic. In 1997, Hofmans registered win in Canada’s most prestigiou s races – the Queens Plate, with Awesome Again and won the Belmont Stakes. After posting win in the Belmont Stakes, his horses – Touch Gold and Silver Charm were bided for the United States’ Triple Crown title. In 2003 Hofmans posted his second Breeders’ Cup racing with his the then favorite horse Adoration in the Breeders’ Cup Distaff. He was nominated for the inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 2006. |
