The La Brea Stakes is an American thoroughbred horseracing event that is raced at a distance of seven furlongs on the dirt track of Santa Anita Park racetrack. This grade I stake is restricted to fillies with age three year olds. The La Brea Stakes was inaugurated in 1974 and for the next two years, this race was held at a distance of one and one sixteenth miles on the left-handed cushion track.
