Notes
The Beldame Stakes is a grade I horseracing event that is open to thoroughbred fillies and mares with an age three years and up. This stake is raced at a distance of nine furlongs on the left-handed dirt track of Belmont Park. The name of The Beldame Stakes is taken from the US Racing Hall of Fame mare Beldame, who raced brilliantly between 1903 and 1905. In a single season in 1904, she won twelve races in fourteen starts with the distinction of beating the best colts of her time and was voted the Horse of the year honors.
