he entered

Cigar
finished

attempted
to surpass
Citation
in the
Pacific
Classic at
Delmar

near San
Diego,
California
. Though
he lost
the last
two races
of his
career,
his race
record was
sufficient
to earn
him second
straight
champion

and Horse
of the
Year
honor. He
was
retired to

service at
