Christophe's wife Valerie resides at Garden City with their daughter Charlotte and son Miguel. His older brother Nicholas is also a trainer who have won the 1990 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe with Saumarez.

Notes:
Background : Clement learnt the art of training horses from his father. He began his career in France for the Alec Head family but migrated to the United States in early 1986 to work at Taylor Made Farm. His first winner was the first horse he saddled, Spectacula ire, at Belmont Park on Oct. 20, 1991. Since then he has saddled more than 155 stakes winners, including Trampoli; Danish, winner of the 1994 Queen Elizabeth II at Keeneland; Blu Tusmani; Flag Down; Rumpipumpy ; Coretta; Honor Glide; Forbidden Apple; England's Legend, who won the Beverly D in 2001; and Voodoo Dancer. Clement saddled Dynever, who ran third in the 2003 Breeders' Cup Classic on dirt, to win the San Bernardino Handicap on dirt at Santa Anita.
