Notes:
Chuck C. Lopez is a second-generation jockey, who enjoys a healthy record of winning thoroughbred races. Chuck began riding at Keystone Park a long back — it was on January 15, 1979 when he earned his first career win riding Foolish Tracy. Even though he was an apprentice during that time, still became the leading rider at the Meadowlands. His recent performance is also very impressive; Chuck finished second riding Gottcha Gold in the 2007 Dirt Mile and it is his only Breeders’ Cup mount. He registered his first graded stakes victory in the 1994 Lamplighter Stakes at Monmouth Park with Mr. Impatience. Chuck also has good record in Monmouth and Meadowlands. In 1998, Chuck earned his first riding title in Monmouth Park and became the leading rider at Meadowlands twice. Till now he has ridden many horses but some of his favorites include Valid Video, Gators N Bears and La Reason. Chuck C. Lopez reached 3,000th winning spot on January 22, 2004 riding Sunnyridge Sam at Aqueduct. Chuck’s son Eric is also a popular name in the North American horseracing circuit.
