Daniel Centeno hails from Caracas, Venezuela. He launched his career at a tender age. He spend time in the barn building a deep realtionship with horses. His father worked as a jockey\\\'s agent. In 1990, he galloped horses in his homeland. He landed in United States in 2003 and commenced riding in Calder Race Course. 2004 marked his arrival at Tampa Bay Downs. He won the Tampa Bay Downs Jockey Title in 2007-2008. He has also set a record by winning $2,145,528 in a single meet. He galloped Cool Spell to victory in Gasparilla Stakes.
