Notes: Gallant Fox was born on March 23, 1927 at Claiborne Farm in Paris, Kentucky. He was a bay colt and became the second horse to post a winning title in the US Triple Crown Championsh ips. At two, he could not perform considerin g his performanc e that we find in later half of his life. His three-year -old career is studded with some brilliant performanc e: he snatched nine out of ten starts during this time and was hot favorite all through his Triple Crown Championsh ips. The sole race in which he could not perform according to his merit was the Traverse Stakes. He is the first Triple Crown winner to sire a second generating Triple Crown Champion テ「 his foal Omaha won the US Triple Crown in 1935. Gallant Fox died on November 13, 1953 and was buried at Claiborne Farm. Four years later: in 1957, he was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.
