Notes:
All through his childhood days, Kazuo dreamt of becoming a horse-trai ner — it is because of his early acquaintan ce with horseracin g and breeding. Starting as a trainee at Gavin Pritchard- Gordon’ s stable in Newmarket, Fujisawa spent next ten years working as an assistant trainer before acquiring his license in 1987. In due course of years, he has gained experience in training horses working under several heads including Kazuo Kikuchi, Katsumi Sato and Yuji Nohira. Starting his own stable in 1988, he had registered thirty-fou r wins within the next four seasons. Though he has many winners in his stable, Fujisawa still remembers his first winner Garudan at the Niigata racecourse . In 1993, he became the leading trainer in Japan horseracin g circuit†¦and in the last season he has again honored the same title with fifty-thre e wins from two hundred seventy starts. At present, his notable performers include Shinki Lovely, Silent Happiness and Bubble Gum Fellow.
